• Youth Media Camp Application

  • 5-Day Youth Media & Video Workshop 
    Ready to create, film, and share your story or help others tell their story? 
    Join this hands-on workshop where youth will learn media skills through creating content about substance use disorder. Participants will work together to create videos that inspire positive conversations, promote healthy choices, and raise community awareness. Explore the opportunity to create impactful video content to raise awareness about coping strategies and support resources for substance use disorder. The camp will also build creative and leadership skills through peer-driven storytelling in a fun, supportive environment. Youth media camp will be a safe, engaging, and empowering experience for youth to learn, create, and be heard!  
    No experience needed, just bring your creativity and ideas! Youth who have lived or living experiences with incarceration, substance use, overdose and/or recovery will be prioritized.

  • Eligibility
    To apply and be considered for the Youth Media Camp, participants must be:

    • A Baltimore City resident
    • A High School student in Fall 2026
    • Have permission from parent/guardian to participate (if under 18 years old)
    • Available to attend the Youth Media Camp Monday, August 3, 2026 through Friday, August 7, 2026.
  • Selection Process
    We are selecting 23 participants for Youth Media Camp. Youth who have lived or living experiences with incarceration, substance use, overdose and/or recovery will be prioritized.

    How to Apply
    Submit application by Friday, July 24, 2026.
    To apply to Youth Media Camp, complete the form below. Your application will NOT be shared outside the Baltimore City Health Department and Wide Angle Youth Media. Responses in your application will only be used for Youth Media Camp.
